Melynda, aka Mel, is a Senior Community Manager on Identity’s social media team. In her role, Mel specializes in social media strategy and content creation, creative storytelling, and community engagement for a number of diverse clients.
Prior to joining the Identity team, Mel served as the Social Media Community Manager for Pure Michigan for two and a half years. During this time, she gained not only a deep appreciation and knowledge of the state, often being referred to as a “walking, talking Michigan encyclopedia,” she gained a deeper appreciation and passion for the business of hospitality and tourism PR.
Mel graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising from Grand Valley State University in 2013, where she was an active member of Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority, Ad Club, and worked for the school’s newspaper, the Lanthorn.
Mel spends her free time as a “crazy cat mom” to Lady and Mister, binge watching British television, crafting and playing board games with friends.
