Apprentice
Olivia Thaler is a Social Media Apprentice at Identity, where she analyzes social and digital trends, creates content, and engages with the community through social media.
Olivia is a recent graduate of Michigan State University, where she earned her B.A. in public relations with a minor in business. During her time at Michigan State, Olivia was highly involved with VIM Magazine, MSU’s completely student-run fashion, beauty, and lifestyle magazine. In her most recent role as the public relations director, Olivia co-managed a team of eight PR specialists where they developed, planned, and executed Instagram giveaways for VIM’s members. Aside from VIM, Olivia also served as the communications coordinator for TEDxMSU where she worked with local media for the conference.
Prior to joining Identity, Olivia gained professional experience in both agency and in-house settings. Most recently, she was the internal communications intern for MSUFCU, where she worked alongside the internal communications team to craft compelling messaging for headquarters and branch employees. Additionally, Olivia was the communications intern for Piper & Gold Public Relations, a Lansing-based PR agency, where she led client’s social media accounts and prepared materials for the media.
Outside the office, you can find Olivia cooking up Ina Garten’s newest recipe, planning her next trip, or playing with her golden retriever named Winnie.
