Mark founded Identity in 1998 with the vision of creating an agency that reflected his passion for business value creation, thirst for learning, and commitment to continuous personal, professional and relational growth. That original vision and its foundation remain at the heart of The Identity Way as the company continually strives to create a better, more impactful way.
Mark supports Identity’s executive leadership with resources and vision and serves an important role in building relationships and driving business development. He is currently directing the firm’s physical expansion and business development efforts in Tampa, Florida.
He has counseled and represented clients in nearly every industry vertical and is among the most experienced real estate PR and marketing professionals in the country. He and the agency have played a critical role in the development, management and leasing of more than 500 million square feet of commercial, residential, retail, hospitality, storage and mixed-use real estate nationally. He is a frequent author, speaker and moderator on a wide variety of real estate and PR, marketing and crisis communication topics.
Mark’s leadership skills and style are deeply rooted in his unique ability to bring leaders and stakeholders together, simplify the complex, navigate challenges, optimize opportunities and deliver meaningful and measurable results. With a mantra of Relationships Matter Most, Mark gets his energy from building and maintaining strong relationships and paying it forward.
He is a past president of EO Detroit (Entrepreneurs Organization) and has been a member of ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers) for more than 30 years. Mark was inducted into the PRSA Hall of Fame in 2023 and currently serves as an executive board member and the development chair for the The Heat and Warmth Fund (THAW). He is also the incoming president of the Detroit chapter of the Association of Corporate Growth (ACG).
