Identity Wins Three Hermes Creative Awards in 2018

By: Andrea Trapani

At Identity, delivering outstanding and creative work for our clients is part of our standard operating procedure. But when the projects we execute are recognized by our peers in the PR and communications industry, it’s particularly rewarding for our team.

Last month, our agency received three Hermes Creative Awards–an international competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional and emerging media. Hermes Creative Awards is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP), one of the largest, oldest and most respected evaluators of creative work in the marketing and communication industry.

Based on the evaluation of judges from the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, Identity received two Platinum awards and one Gold award–the two highest honors.

Our first Platinum Hermes award was given for our highly successful publicity campaign promoting the arrival of Carr, a sea turtle, to client SEA LIFE Michigan Aquarium. This sprint campaign generated more than 50 media placements and involved a comprehensive influencer engagement and social media content and advertising strategy.

Our second Platinum Hermes award recognized our efforts developing and promoting a specialized content offer for architecture and design firm ROSSETTI coinciding with the launch of their latest arena concept, the Inverted Bowl. Our Gold Hermes was awarded for our work in creating the microsite that housed the e-book.

Known for their work designing the world’s most incredible sports and entertainment facilities, ROSSETTI selected Identity to help develop the communications strategy and rollout for the Inverted Bowl, its most dynamic and bold arena concept to date. Our Modern PR Mix approach resulted in nearly 100,000 views of the concept launch video and 200 downloads of the project e-book in just two weeks. This multifaceted digital and content strategy was complemented by a media strategy targeting national business, design, sports business and architecture media.

In addition to the three awards, Identity also received four Honorable Mentions from Hermes for the following creative campaigns:

  • “Flavor of Detroit” contest | Hudsonville Ice Cream | Strategic Programs/PR Campaign
  • Comeback Cooler Launch | Hudsonville Ice Cream | Strategic Programs/Product Launch
  • Introducing the Inverted Bowl | Rossetti | Communication/Marketing Campaign
  • Identity Holiday Card 2017 | Print Media/Design/Holiday Card

We’re incredibly proud of the individuals who worked tirelessly and diligently to bring these big ideas to life for our clients!
