good news for the animals…

Fans of the Detroit Zoo have something to cheer about…the 80-year-old community destination will stay open. In the face of all the negative media in the city of Detroit and the country as a whole, it is great to see people eager to keep such a remarkable family destination in business.
One company doing its part to help the Zoo and local kids is Jaffe Raitt Heuer & Weiss, P.C. The Southfield-based law firm recently treated more than 400 children and their families from Southfield public schools and Starfish Family Services to a much-deserved day with the animals. Over 50 Jaffe attorneys and staff members did their part to keep the kids smiling, acting as safari guides, working at the snack stations and greeting the kids upon their arrival.
At a time when the media is filled with politics and news of a bleak economic climate, news of the preservation of the Detroit Zoo and those doing their part to keep this community gem running is a breath of fresh air.
