Founding partner Adrienne Dresevic made the announcement.
More than 50 physicians and administrators attended the event, which featured a panel discussion with Phillip H. Camp, CEO of Valance Health and The Health Law Partners’ Joel Greenberg, Claudia Hinrichsen and Kathryn Hickner-Cruz. The discussion topics provided general information on accountable care organizations (ACOs), including the different types and models, effects on health care reform and the pros and cons of joining an ACO.
“ACOs are a hot topic right now in health care, and physicians across the country are exploring the possibility of participating in one,” said Hinrichsen. “During the forum we served as a resource by addressing a number of the business and regulatory issues that are difficult to decipher when weighing the options of joining an ACO or not.”
