X Team International Partner Baker Storey McDonald Properties Completes Shopping Center Acquisition in Alabama

NASHVILLE, Tenn., December 7, 2012—X Team International, an international alliance of retail real estate advisors with expertise in more than 45 major markets throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe, announced today that an affiliate of Nashville, Tenn.-based partner Baker Storey McDonald Properties (BSM) acquired Whitesburg Center in Huntsville, Ala. for $6.7 million.

The 51,943-square-foot shopping center is located within a dynamic submarket of Huntsville at 5000 Whitesburg Drive. BSM will manage and lease the shopping center. Current tenants include Dollar Tree, Mattress Firm, Cheeburger Cheeburger and Baskin Robbins, among others. BSM’s most recent acquisitions and developments were located in Cincinnati, OH; Winchester, KY; Nashville, TN; and Knoxville, TN.

In this acquisition, Craig Taylor of CBRE represented the seller, an affiliate of Equinox Group based in Atlanta, GA. Van Wehr of CBRE assisted with financing for the project. BSM represented themselves as the buyers.
