PR Continues to Grow — But Only as it Evolves

According the The Economist, PR companies have generally weathered the recession better than many industries. The reason has been the industry’s evolution from strictly traditional media relations to social media and campaigns that were once the exclusive territory of advertising agencies. Communications is no longer as rigidly defined as it once was. From blogs to Twitter to traditional media, reputation management is more complex and certainly more important than ever.
