I’m proud to share that Identity has been named to PR News’ 2025 Agency Elite Top 120—an honor that recognizes the most innovative, impactful, and effective agencies in the nation. This recognition is a moment of celebration, but also a strong signal that our bold agency vision is delivering exactly what we set out to do: be the PR firm to beat in the Midwest, known nationally for our work and culture.

Keeping our Fire Lit

Now entering our 27th year of business, Identity is thriving—and this recognition is a reflection of our people, our process, and our perspective. As a PR, marketing, and creative agency providing end-to-end communications strategy, we’re committed to helping our clients bring big ideas to life through powerful storytelling, backed by exceptional execution. I often say, “there are a lot of companies who do what we do, but we’re the only one mobilizing quickly, rolling down hard and doing it the Identity way.” Through this “one of one” mindset, we’ve established a reputation for unmatched strategic insight, trusted counsel, and boundary-pushing campaigns that drive real results.

But, to be named to this list, delivering strong work is table stakes. Delivering valuable insights, outstanding media coverage and award-worthy creative is just one piece of the successful agency puzzle.

Charting the Course

Now entering our 27th year, Identity remains on a strong growth trajectory. We welcomed 54 new clients in 2024, with a nearly even mix of B2B and B2C brands across real estate, hospitality, retail, professional services, CPG, and more. Repeat double-digit revenue growth has been our rocket fuel.

Our team of Gamelovers—experts united by curiosity, empathy, and passion for the craft of PR and communications—are behind every successful campaign and client milestone. They power our signature Modern PR Mix approach: a blend of proven PR-led strategies, smart insights and cross-channel storytelling designed to generate unmatched attention, drive demand and align what a company says with its vision.

And we’re just getting started. Our two-year plan to redesign internal structures and better support career growth and business scalability is underway, with a 50% completion target this year. We’ve also doubled down on equity and inclusion, expanding our remote-first workplace with benefits that reflect modern families, and committing to diverse candidate recruitment in all entry-level roles. As part of Identity’s recruitment strategy, the agency actively and purposefully recruits from minority schools and associations, mandating that a minimum of 50% of candidates considered for its entry-level apprenticeship program be from diverse backgrounds (BIPOC, LGBTQIA+).

In the most recent anonymous staff survey, employees unanimously agreed they were confident in the security and stability of the agency, believed the agency is committed to producing high-quality work, and appreciated the frequency and transparency of communications from leadership. Additionally, 100 percent of our team said they are enthusiastic about and find purpose in the work Identity does, understanding what is expected of them. They have the autonomy, tools and technology to do their best, and they all believe their role is well-aligned with their individual abilities and have a sense of daily progress at work. Most importantly, everyone said they feel part of a connected team with a common purpose and understand how what they do directly impacts the agency’s success. As a leader, nothing could make me prouder than the results of this survey.

These lofty growth, cultural and operational goals, backed by our 18-plus year investment in alignment with EOS, has put us on course for long-term, transformational success.

Among the Elite

Recognition on this national list is a powerful validator of how we’ve evolved to meet—and lead—today’s communications landscape. From growing our crisis and reputation management offerings to building full-service video production capabilities, we are responding to the real needs of clients in the moments that matter most. And while channels continue to evolve, we remain focused on why clients hire us: to provide expert counsel.

This recognition belongs to our team, our clients, and the vision that guides us every day. We are deeply grateful to PR News for this honor—and even more motivated to keep building the agency the future demands.
