Crisis Communications Manager Wanted

Should this not be a full-time job within the City of Detroit? Beyond scandals, economics and crime, there is misery. When is the mayor’s office NOT in crisis mode? The thing is, they never ACT like there IS a crisis. Part of crisis management is publicly acknowledging the crisis, even in dismissing its impact or importance, then laying out your plan to address it. Coming across smug, brash or dismissive will win no popularity points with the public…humility, contrition and forthrightness do.
