Today, we recognize Erin Sabo, partner at Identity and head of the agency’s account team and real estate practice group, on being named a GlobeSt. Women of Influence Honoree for 2025.
GlobeSt., one of the commercial real estate industry’s leading publications, recognizes a select group of women executives each year who are making an outstanding contribution to the business and future of real estate. These developers, owners, investors, lenders, brokers and service providers represent the best of the industry, and will gather for a two-day summit this July in Denver to discuss the critical issues facing CRE today.
Erin joined Identity in 2007 and started her career as an intern focused on media relations. Over many years, she has worn several account, management and leadership hats. While her impact can be felt in every corner of Identity, her work leading Identity’s national real estate practice group to tremendous growth and recognized industry success is truly a standout accomplishment.
A Dominant Real Estate PR Player
Erin isn’t one to seek the spotlight, so I had the pleasure of nominating her for this important and highly sought-after award.
When I think about Erin’s role as a skilled PR practitioner, she has an uncanny ability to translate intricate real estate concepts into compelling media stories that resonate with investors, stakeholders and the broader public. At a time when macroeconomic uncertainty looms over the industry, her expertise provides clarity, stability and a roadmap forward for those she counsels.
A media relations expert at her core, Erin specializes in identifying and amplifying the perspectives of industry leaders, particularly within commercial real estate. She has played a vital role in shaping Identity’s real estate practice, leveraging her profound understanding of the industry’s complexities to craft strategic communications plans, navigate crisis situations and capitalize on market opportunities.
Crisis management has been a major focus of Erin’s work. In 2024, she handled messaging and media strategy for more than 75 real estate crises — including tenant closures, celebrity evictions, acts of violence, fatalities and natural disasters. Her ability to craft clear, decisive communication has helped developers and property managers navigate even the most complex and high-stakes situations with confidence.
That same year, she spearheaded, developed and led execution of more than a dozen integrated and media relations strategies for Identity’s real estate clients. These efforts enhanced visibility, strengthened brand positioning and generated meaningful engagement across various channels.
With nearly two decades at Identity, Erin has cemented herself as a trusted advisor in real estate communications, helping clients navigate everything from high-stakes crisis moments to large-scale development announcements.
Erin also worked with account teams to secure and facilitate hundreds of media placements and award wins for real estate clients. She ensured client milestones, deals and industry contributions received attention in top-tier outlets.
A Much-Deserved Win for a Great Leader
Through deliberate execution and sharp decision-making, Erin continues to deliver results that leave a mark — strengthening client reputations and reinforcing Identity’s role as a leader in real estate communications.
She leads, she mentors, she gives. And she does it all without making a big deal about it. But if you look at the careers she’s shaped and the causes she’s helped, Erin’s impact at Identity, and beyond, is profound.
Congratulations to our colleague, partner and friend on this outstanding award.
