Two Trott & Trott Attorneys Recognized as Top Lawyers by DBusiness

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., December 5, 2013—Trott & Trott, P.C. (Trott), a real estate law firm, announced today that Marcy Ford and Matthew Theunick have been recognized as 2014 Top Lawyers by DBusiness magazine.
The DBusiness Top Lawyers list, which is broken down into 50 specialized practice areas, recognizes attorneys practicing in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties who possess the highest professional ability and ethical standards. The designation is achieved through peer-to-peer reviews of more than 21,000 attorneys in the metro Detroit area.
Ford, partner and executive vice president at Trott, was selected in the Bankruptcy and Creditor/Debtor Rights category. She serves as the chair of Trott’s Executive Committee and is president of USFN, a 50-state trade association servicing the mortgage banking industry. Ford is a graduate of Western Michigan University, where she earned her master’s degree with honors. She is also a 1993 cum laude graduate of Wayne State University Law School.
Selected in the Real Estate Law category, Theunick currently serves as a senior litigation attorney at the firm, focusing his practice on real estate law, mortgage default servicing, curative title, commercial law and litigation. He graduated magna cum laude from Oakland University and received his juris doctor from Valparasio University School of Law.
