By: Identity Team
ATLANTA, February 5, 2013 – Daniel Brown, managing shareholder of The Health Law Partners’ Atlanta office, has been recognized by American Lawyer Media and Martindale-Hubbell as a 2013 Top Rated Lawyer in Health Care. Founding Shareholder Carey Kalmowitz made the announcement.
“Dan is not only a well-respected lawyer in health care, but he is an industry voice for sleep medicine,” said Kalmowitz. “We are honored to have Dan be a part of The HLP team, leading the Atlanta office.”
In order to be recognized with this honor, Brown first achieved an AV Preeminent rating in the rigorous Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings survey facilitated by LexisNexis. The survey requires lawyers from multiple jurisdictions and geographic areas to assess the ethical standards, legal knowledge, analytical capabilities, judgment, communication ability and legal experience of professionals in their field.
Brown has nearly 30 years of experience representing health care providers in the corporate and regulatory issues key to building successful health care businesses. Along the way he has become the leading legal expert in medical sleep health care. A frequent speaker and published author on the subject, Brown represents providers of sleep medicine testing and durable medical equipment (DME) therapy, owner-operators of sleep centers and laboratories and independent diagnostic testing centers.
A faculty member at the Atlanta School of Sleep Medicine, Brown is also a member of the Board of Directors of the National Sleep Foundation and is on the National Advisory Board of the Sleep Center Management Institute. Brown earned his bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University, and graduated with honors from the University of Tennessee College of Law with his juris doctorate.
