First Hospitality Group, Inc.’s Hilton Garden Inn Milwaukee Downtown Hotel to Host Remarkable Milwaukee Event in Concert with The Grain Exchange Room

Hotel’s grand atrium will house work from local art studio as part of the event

ROSEMONT, Ill., February 5, 2013 – Rosemont, Ill.-based First Hospitality Group, Inc.’s Hilton Garden Inn Milwaukee Downtown hotel, in concert with the iconic Grain Exchange Room, will host Historic Milwaukee’s 2013 “Remarkable Milwaukee” event on Feb. 25. First Hospitality Group, Inc., President and COO Robert Habeeb made the announcement.

The event will honor Conrad Schmitt Studios and the legacy of Bernard O. Gruenke, president emeritus of the studio, for their restoration work in Milwaukee and beyond. Artwork created by the studio will be on display in the hotel’s five-story grand atrium from 5-6:30 p.m. prior to dinner at The Grain Exchange Room.

“Through their work, Conrad Schmitt Studios and Bernard O. Gruenke have helped preserve the rich heritage of several local iconic landmarks in stunning fashion,” said Habeeb. “We are incredibly proud to be part of this event and have the opportunity to showcase the fantastic work created by the studio in our atrium for everyone to see.”

Projects in Milwaukee that the studio has worked on include The Grain Exchange Room in the Mackie Building, the interior of the Pabst Mansion, and the interior of the Basilica of St. Josaphat.
