By: Stephanie Cosby
SOUTHFIELD, Mich., January 14, 2013 – Alan Gilchrist of Southfield, Mich.-based The Health Law Partners, has been recognized by his industry peers as one of the best lawyers in the nation, receiving the AV Preeminent rating by Martindale-Hubbell for the 30th year in a row. Founding partner, Robert Iwrey, made the announcement.
“Alan is highly regarded in health care law, and to be honored with this accomplishment for 30 years is a testament to Alan’s character and practice,” said Iwrey. “His decades of experience and selfless commitment to clients make him an incredible asset to the firm.”
This rating is a significant achievement alone, but Gilchrist joins a small group of attorneys celebrating 30 years of this high recognition. To receive an AV Preeminent rating, the candidate must receive top marks in the rigorous Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings survey facilitated by LexisNexis. The survey requires lawyers from multiple jurisdictions and geographic areas to assess the ethical standards, legal knowledge, analytical capabilities, judgment, communication ability and legal experience of professionals in their field.
Gilchrist, a partner in the firm, chairs the civil false claims and white-collar criminal practice group, and he represents healthcare providers, suppliers and professional organizations. A frequent speaker at industry conferences, Gilchrist established the Michigan Bar Association Institute of Continuing Education. Gilchrist has received numerous accolades, and was selected as an inaugural member of the Fellows of the State Bar of Michigan’s Health Care Law Section. Gilchrist graduated from Wayne State Law School magna cum laude, and earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan.
