LEGO Store to Join Easton Town Center

COLUMBUS, Ohio, June 22, 2009 — Columbus, Ohio-based Steiner + Associates announced that LEGO, the makers of the classic brand of children’s bricks, will open a store at the Easton Town Center in late summer 2009. Yaromir Steiner, chief executive officer, Steiner + Associates, made the announcement.
The nearly 2,000-square-foot LEGO store will be the first in Columbus, and only the second in Ohio. The store will feature wall-to-wall product, as well as special features, which include a Pick-A-Brick Wall, an interactive play area called the Living Room, and a Brand Ribbon that runs the circumference of the store and displays models, company history and fun facts. The store will be located within the North District, across from Pottery Barn Kids and The Children’s Place.

Easton Town Center was co-developed by The Georgetown Company, Steiner + Associates and Limited Brands. Opened in June 1999, Easton is a 1.7 million square-foot ‘New Urban Retail’ center that features pedestrian-friendly streetscapes, open-air gathering spaces, fountains and parks for children, in addition to over 160 best-of-class retail, entertainment and dining tenants. The International Council of Shopping Centers honored Easton with its Innovative Design Award in 2000.
