First Hospitality Group, Inc. Hires General Manager at Chicago Hotel
Jim Conway assumes the leading role at the Hampton Inn & Suites, Chicago
Rosemont, Ill., November 25, 2013—Rosemont, Ill.-based First Hospitality Group, Inc., (FHG) announced today the hiring of Jim Conway as general manager for the company’s Hampton Inn & Suites in Chicago. FHG President and COO Robert Habeeb made the announcement.
As general manager, Conway will oversee all hotel operations, including hiring and training staff, coordinating with vendors and clients, developing advertising strategies and managing the hotel’s budget.
“Jim’s experience in the hospitality industry, coupled with his innate ability to be an effective leader, make him the perfect addition to our Hampton Inn & Suites team in Chicago,” Habeeb said. “He possesses an incredible work ethic and passion for the business, and I am confident he will continue to drive our business forward, delivering the level of quality and service our customers have come to expect.”
Prior to joining FHG, Conway spent more than 15 years serving in a variety of roles within the hospitality industry, including general manager, district general manager and operations manager. Most recently, he was the general manager of the Crowne Plaza Chicago Metro Downtown, where he specialized in implementing standards and procedures, managing contract negotiations and improved guest service scores, as well as overseeing staff recruitment and evaluations.
