Andria Herr Promoted to National President of AGIS

WINTER PARK, Fla., November 21, 2008 – AGIS, a full-service insurance agency, has announced the promotion of Andria Herr to the position of National President, responsible for the company’s future growth, and for developing and leading AGIS’s sales initiatives for the company’s five offices in three states.

Previously serving as the President of AGIS’s Central Florida, operations, Herr will direct and oversee the overall operations of the company as a whole, which includes offices in Winter Park, Fla., Jacksonville, Fla., Tampa Bay; Detroit and Indianapolis.

In addition, Ken Enlow is promoted to Vice President of the Winter Park office.  Enslow’s prior experience includes 20 years with Brown and Brown in Maitland, Fla., where he was responsible for property/casualty and employee benefits production.

“With our 2006 purchase of an agency in Jacksonville and the new opportunities this will provide, we are now even more geographically diverse in fast-growing markets,” Herr said, “and we are poised to grow even faster in the coming years.”

Herr joined AGIS in 2002, directing the growth of an office that has since more than doubled in revenue and staff. She has been in the employee benefits industry since 1987.

Prior to joining AGIS, she served as Vice President of Sales with UnitedHealthCare, where she worked from 1995 to 2002. There, she launched the company’s first commercial products in Central and North Florida. Herr worked closely with government relations to assist with product filings, with underwriting to develop pricing methodologies, and with health plan senior management to develop health plan policies.
