Identity’s Nikki Stephan Speaks to CMU Student Groups

BINGHAM FARMS, Mich., April 1, 2011—Bingham Farms, Mich.-based Identity Marketing & Public Relations, a fully integrated marketing and public relations firm, announced that Identity Social Media Strategist Nikki Stephan served as a featured speaker to two Central Michigan University (CMU) student groups in March.

As a graduate and supporter of the school’s public relations program, the CMU Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America invited Stephan to speak at the organization’s annual spring conference. Stephan shared her expertise on the debate over the rise of social media and fall of old-school public relations.

Additionally, Mark W. Smith, CMU adjunct professor and Web editor at the Detroit Free Press, asked Stephan to speak to his CMU social media and journalism class. Stephan shared her insight on a variety of public relations, journalism and social media topics for the class via Skype.
