First Hospitality Group President and COO Robert Habeeb Named Industry Leader of the Year

ROSEMONT, Ill. December 9, 2011 — Rosemont, Ill.-based First Hospitality Group (FHG), announced today that the company’s President and COO Robert Habeeb has been named Industry Leader of the Year by The School of Hospitality Business Alumni Association at Michigan State University (MSU).
Habeeb was honored this year as a result of First Hospitality Group’s national reputation for cutting-edge “people programs” and consistent financial growth, as evidenced by its recognition the last five consecutive years among Inc. magazine’s “fastest growing companies in America.” He was also recognized for his devotion of time to the American and the Illinois Hotel & Lodging Associations, serving two terms as chairman. In addition, Habeeb was recognized due to his willingness to speak to MSU classes and serve as a mentor to the school’s hospitality students.
Habeeb was honored and inducted to this year’s Alumni Association Hall of Fame at the The School of Hospitality Business Alumni Association’s Annual Celebration of Leadership, hosted this year on Saturday, November 12 at The Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York City.
