Trott & Trott’s Melissa Byrd and Rana Razzaque Recognized as Top Women Attorneys in Michigan

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., March 17, 2014—Trott & Trott, P.C. (Trott), a real estate law firm, announced today that Melissa Byrd and Rana Razzaque have been recognized as 2014 Top Women Attorneys in Michigan by Super Lawyers magazine.
An exclusive list that represents just one percent of attorneys in the state of Michigan, Super Lawyers’ list of Michigan’s Top Women Attorneys recognizes attorneys practicing in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties who possess the highest professional ability and ethical standards. Byrd and Razzaque were chosen for the honor after being evaluated based on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement.
Byrd joined Trott in 2011 as a litigation attorney concentrating her practice in the areas of bankruptcy and mortgage creditors’ rights. Byrd earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and attended Ave Maria School of Law, where she graduated cum laude with her juris doctor.
Razzaque serves as a litigation attorney for Trott, where her practice centers on the mortgage and banking industry, real property, and title issues in State and Federal Courts, including appellate work. Razzaque graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English from McDaniel College in 2001, and earned her juris doctor from the Michigan State University College of Law in 2004.
