The Health Law Partners’ Claudia Hinrichsen Presents at National Conference for Independent Practice Associations and Accountable Care Organizations

LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y., April 17, 2013 – Claudia Hinrichsen, partner at Lake Success, N.Y.-based The Greenberg, Dresevic, Hinrichsen, Iwrey, Kalmowitz, La Salle, Lebow & Pendleton Law Group, a division of The Health Law Partners, P.C., presented at The IPA Association of America’s (TIPAAA) 18th Annual National Meeting. Founding Partner Abby Pendleton made the announcement.
Attended by health care professionals involved in independent practice associations (IPAs) and accountable care organizations (ACOs), the presentation, titled “ACO Formation: Navigating the Legal Requirements,” focused on the compliance and regulatory issues that providers face when they move into the realm of ACO formation. The 40-minute speech from Hinrichsen outlined the various business and operational challenges associated with the formation of an ACO and provided proactive counsel and advice on how to approach the legal and regulatory requirements.
Hinrichsen practices in all areas of health care law and has specialized in managed care for over two decades, including IPAs, ACOs and physician-hospital organizations (PHOs). She has significant experience in network formation and corporate governance, negotiation of managed care contracts and disputes with payors, payor audits and recovery of payor underpayments.
Hinrichsen has received numerous accolades during her career, including being named a Top Health Care Attorney in 2009 by the Chambers Association and being named a Super Lawyer for 2011 and 2012. Hinrichsen graduated from Hofstra Law School with distinction, and she earned her bachelor’s degree from SUNY Geneseo where she graduated magna cum laude.
