Franchise to debut next evolution of their concept
COLUMBUS, Ohio, July 2, 2012 – Columbus-based Steak Escape will be delivering the newest version of its brand this fall when it opens in the Arena District. Nationwide Realty Investors President and COO Brian J. Ellis made the announcement.
“Steak Escape will move into the 401 Front Street space formerly occupied by W.G. Grinders,” said Ellis. “Grinders, who had been in the location since July of 2008, closed on June 30 and Steak Escape has already taken possession and will soon begin construction on their space.”
According to Steak Escape’s Vice President of Development Jeff Fix, the Arena District’s 1,852 square-foot restaurant will represent the latest evolution of the popular fast casual eatery. “Our customers know Steak Escape for our amazing sandwiches and fresh cut fries,” said Fix. “Our latest restaurant format will allow our guests to enjoy the same quality and offerings that they have come to love while benefiting from faster service, lower prices and the option of an expanded menu featuring healthy choices.”
According to Fix, Steak Escape’s new format allows customers to work with restaurant staff members to build their sandwiches, salads and baked potatos as they move swiftly through a line. “We will be cutting our guests wait time by 50 percent, giving them much more control over the development of their meal, cutting their costs and offering more healthy choices,” said Fix. “Fresh vegetables will be offered as an alternative to fries with all meals.”
When the Arena District Steak Escape opens this fall, it will be only the second new format to open. The first of its kind is scheduled to open in New Albany on July 25.
The Arena District is a $750 million, 75-acre mixed-use development located in downtown Columbus. The Arena District includes more than 1.5 million square feet of office, restaurants, entertainment, and residential uses. For more information about the Arena District visit www.arenadistrict.com.
