DETROIT, February 22, 2011 – Stautzenberger Institute (SI), an Allen Park, Mich.-based nationally accredited provider of occupational education, in association with Oakwood Healthcare, Inc., a southeastern Michigan-based provider of comprehensive healthcare and delivery systems, will host the 2011 Health Industry Expo and Career Fair on March 4, 2011. Karen Fitzgerald, chief admissions and marketing officer at SI, made the announcement.
The full day event, focusing on healthy living and career building within the healthcare industry, will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Allen Park campus of SI, located at 16630 Southfield Rd. The expo will feature free blood pressure and glucose screenings, complimentary fitness consultations with personal trainers and chair massage, diabetes and celiac education classes and interviewing and resume building activities. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training and cholesterol screenings will also be available from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for an additional charge. The event will also feature a variety of corporate booths from those in the industry offering information on services, potential careers and education opportunities for those looking into the health care industry.
