DETROIT, August 28, 2009 – Southfield, Mich. based The iGroup, the region’s leading model and talent agency, will host an open casting call to find undiscovered models for Fashion In Detroit’s (FID) inaugural high fashion runway event. Tony DiMambro, lead talent agent at The iGroup, made the announcement.
The casting call, which will take place on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at Stage 3 Productions, located at 27500 Donald Court in Warren, Michigan, is open to the public and will consider both men and women ages 14 to 30 for selection. No previous runway experience is required. Women must be within five feet eight inches and five feet eleven inches tall, while men must fall between five feet eleven inches and six feet three inches tall. Models must attend the open call with a headshot and a full-body photo, although they need not be professional prints. The casting call will run in two sessions on September 3rd, from 12–4 p.m. and from 5–9 p.m. Models may attend either session. Women should wear a skirt, form-fitting top and high heels, while men should come dressed in fitted jeans and a fitted shirt. In addition to their headshot, models will be asked to fill out their sizes before the audition. Models selected at the open call must attend a call back on the afternoon of September 9th at The iGroup in Southfield.
At the casting call, all candidates will have their headshots and sizes reviewed and, if selected, will be invited to walk for members of the FID Executive Committee, including Styleline Editor and FID Host Karen Buscemi and international fashion photographer Lians Jadan of LMstudios. The chosen models will be awarded spots on the runway for Fashion In Detroit and a one-year contract with The iGroup. Visit www.theigroup.com and select “Fashion in Detroit” for more information.
