MSX International Forms Alliance with Global Engineering and Consulting Firm MIRA

WARREN, Mich., July 18, 2011 —  MSX International (MSXI) today announced the establishment of a strategic partnership with MIRA, a leading independent provider of product engineering, testing, consulting, certification and research services to the world’s major vehicle manufacturers and component suppliers.  MSXI Chief Executive Officer Fred Minturn made the announcement.

MSXI has been operating in South America since 1994 and includes Ford Motor Company, General Motors and Volkswagen among the companies with which it does business there. MIRA recently established operations in Brazil, where its business will focus on creating and delivering engineering solutions for the automotive and commercial vehicle sectors. With this strong presence, MSXI has resources and relationships in place that MIRA intends to leverage to support its new operations in the country.

Ilkka Palin, managing director of MSXI South America Operation, will be leading the MSXI team, working directly with MIRA. Ilkka has M.Sc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, and 24 years of experience in the automotive industry, of which 14 are with MSXI. During his career with MSXI, Ilkka has held several management positions, and was appointed as managing director of MSXI South America Operations in 2003.
