Brazil-based provider of training services will grow MSXI’s presence in South America
WARREN, Mich., October 25, 2011 — MSX International (MSXI) today announced the acquisition of Sao Paulo, Brazil-based Human Capital Development (HCD). HCD creates, delivers and manages custom training programs for many of the world’s largest corporations and brands including Ford, Jaguar, Land Rover, Nissan, Johnson & Johnson, Unilever and Whirlpool. MSXI chief executive officer Fred Minturn made the announcement.
MSXI has been operating in South America since 1994 and works closely with many of these same OEMs. With the addition of HCD’s proprietary Software as a Service (Saas) learning management system, MSXI will focus on expanding its South American OEM relationships by delivering greater efficiency and profitability for its dealer networks.
The integration of HCD’s technologies and programs will broaden the scope of services that MSXI provides to its current customers in North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa and accelerate the growth of its retail dealer network across the world. The acquisition will also enable MSXI to leverage HCD’s relationships with companies outside of the automotive industry to expand its reach and enter new markets.

Felix Serrano, managing director of MSXI’s South American Retail Network Solutions, will manage the HCD operations. Serrano has been with MSXI since 1995 and has multi-market experience with the company. He is a native of Barcelona, Spain and holds a Bachelor´s Degree in Business from Fundaçao Getúlio Vargas of Sao Paulo Brazil as well as an Executive MBA from IE Business School in Madrid Spain.
