Lisa Augustine Joins Chesapeake Hospitality as Regional Director of Operations

Greenbelt, Md., March 29, 2012— Chesapeake Hospitality, one of the country’s fastest growing third-party hotel management companies, announced today the addition of Lisa Augustine as regional director of operations. Kim Sims, president of Chesapeake Hospitality, made the announcement.
In this role, Augustine is responsible for developing and executing strategies that will support, strengthen and grow Chesapeake Hospitality’s regional hotel operations. Her additional responsibilities include driving service excellence, developing and executing action plans to improve profit and loss performance, as well as working closely with the directors of finance, sales, revenue management and human resources in assessing and driving overall performance, while maintaining positive owner relationships.

Prior to joining Chesapeake Hospitality, Augustine served as the general manager of the Holiday Inn & Suites Duluth Downtown in Duluth, Minn. She has completed the Certified Hospitality Sales Professional (CHSP) and the Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) programs from the American Hotel & Motel Association. She has also completed the Full Service General Manager Certification with Hilton Hotels Corporation and the Holiday Inn Full Service General Manager Certification with Intercontinental Hotels Group.
In addition, Augustine has served on the General Manager’s Advisory Board for Intercontinental Hotels Group in Atlanta since 2006 and currently serves as the Board Chair for this international organization that represents hotel operators throughout Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. She was selected for service on this board because of her passion for the Holiday Inn brand and her experience and record of solid performance as a hotel operator.
Augustine is also an active member of several professional and civic organizations, including Rotary Club, United Way of Greater Duluth Women’s Leadership Council and the Duluth Superior Hotel/Motel Association. She also serves on the board and executive committee of the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce, the Visit Duluth Board and Executive Committee and the Advocated for Children’s Education Board. She attended Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario and is a 1999 graduate of Leadership Duluth.
