LaVida Massage Opens New Center in Plymouth, Michigan

PLYMOUTH, Mich., October 17, 2011 – LaVida Massage, a Commerce, Mich.-based massage and wellness center, today announced the opening of a new LaVida location in Plymouth, Mich. LaVida Massage Founder John Hoose made the announcement.

The new center, located at 15175 Sheldon Rd. in Plymouth, opened earlier this month. The facility’s spacious 4,100 square feet is now the largest LaVida center and features 12 regular massage rooms, two couples massage rooms and three aesthetics rooms.

The center will provide a number of services and products specifically designed to meet the needs of both men and women in the area, including a variety of massage therapy options, such as Swedish, couples, deep tissue, hot stone, prenatal, chair and corporate massages performed by Michigan licensed massage therapists.

The new center will be owned and managed by franchisee Mark Davis. Davis also owns and manages the Canton, Mich.-based LaVida center and originally became interested in the company due its business model and the dramatic growth of the health and wellness industry.

“I’m extremely excited to open another LaVida location in Michigan,” said Davis. “My location in Canton has experienced significant success since its opening and I am now looking forward to continuing that success, while introducing and expanding the LaVida brand in Plymouth.”

In addition to its opening, the center will be supporting the American Cancer Society’s “Wall of Hope” during Breast Cancer Awareness month in October. In exchange for the purchase of a ribbon to be placed on the center’s “Wall of Hope”, which will be sold for $5, patrons will receive a $5 coupon for any aromatherapy product available at the location.

Founded in 2007, LaVida has locations that span the United States, with several more centers slated to open in by the end of the year. The Plymouth location will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, and offers convenient on-line scheduling 24 hours a day.
