More than 70 hours and 20 bags of toiletry items contributed
BINGHAM FARMS, Mich., March 30, 2011 – Bingham Farms, Mich.-based Identity Marketing & Public Relations, a fully integrated public relations agency leveraging creativity, talent, relationships and technology to drive strategic communications programs that leave a mark, partnered with Capuchin Soup Kitchen in the agency’s first of three corporate giving initiatives for 2011.
The firm collectively donated more than 70 hours of time on March 29, 2011 at the Capuchin Service Center in Detroit. Identity employees also worked together to contribute nearly 20 bags of toiletry items and under garments, which will be utilized for the 50-60 showers taken daily at Capuchin locations throughout the city.
“Working with Capuchin was a great way to show our dedication to the community,” said Mark Winter, Managing Partner with Identity. “There are so many people in need in and around Detroit, which is why supporting local nonprofit organizations like Capuchin is so important.”
The volunteer day at Capuchin marked the launch of Identity’s yearlong corporate giving initiative, during which the agency will support three nonprofits. In May, the Identity team will participate in the Mutt March to benefit the Michigan Humane Society. To conclude the year, the agency will adopt a family from Starfish Family Services to make the holiday season brighter for an at-risk family in metro Detroit.
