Info Tech to build 60,000-square-foot headquarters in the mixed-use project
GAINESVILLE, Fla.—Nov. 3, 2014—Info Tech, a Gainesville, Fla.-based consulting and software company, has announced its intent to relocate its headquarters to the upcoming Celebration Pointe project. The company will build a brand new, 60,000-square-foot headquarters with the help of Celebration Pointe developers.
“We are very excited to be making this announcement today,” said Dr. Jim McClave, CEO at Info Tech. “Our employees are our greatest asset and Celebration Pointe will provide them with an energy filled, walkable environment with outstanding retail, restaurants and other amenities literally at our doorstep.”
Located at the intersection of Interstate 75 and Archer Road, Celebration Pointe is a 125-acre, 1 million-square-foot mixed-use development in the heart of Gainesville’s retail corridor. Along with more than 300,000-square-feet of planned Class-A office space, Celebration Pointe will feature approximately 375,000-square-feet of a unique blend of entertainment and specialty retail, anchored by Bass Pro Shops and a national luxury-seating theatre, which will be the only one of its kind in the Gainesville marketplace. The project will also feature a recently announced boutique Hotel Indigo, nearly 1,000 multifamily residential units and a mix of restaurants, most of which will be new to the market.
“Info Tech has always prided itself on being an innovative and forward-thinking company,” said Dr. Tom Rothrock, president at Info Tech. “When we were searching for our new headquarters, it was important to find a location with a true sense of innovation and community that aligned with our core values.”
The project will also feature integrated recreational and sustainable resources throughout the campus, including 100 acres of conservation land east of Lake Kanapaha with a network of outdoor hike and bike trails that will connect Celebration Pointe to the surrounding Lake Kanapaha Conservation Area and Split Rock Conservation Area. The development will also feature multiple new rapid transit stops, which will connect to notable destinations in the area like the University of Florida campus, where Info Tech was originally founded in 1977.
“As a leader in the software and technology sector, Info Tech is a great addition to Celebration Pointe,” said Svein Dyrkolbotn, partner at Celebration Pointe. “Their decision to relocate the company headquarters to Celebration Pointe is reflective of the special and forward-thinking environment that we are building here in Gainesville.”
Pre-development site work for the project began in August to prepare the site for the necessary infrastructure improvements. Vertical construction for the initial phase of development is scheduled to begin in mid-summer of 2015, with Phase I of the project scheduled to open in Fall 2016.
