WHAT: Friendship Circle of Michigan, renowned for creating and modeling what is now an international nonprofit with more than 80 locations that assists and supports families of children with special needs, is hosting what promises to be the largest flash-mob freeze ever to be successfully completed in the United States.
WHY: Revving up for the annual “Walk4Friendship” on September 5th, Friendship Circle’s largest fundraising event, the nonprofit will aim to organize 1,000 supporters at Somerset Mall, each clad in identical Friendship Circle T-shirts. At 6 p.m., participants will stop whatever they are doing and simultaneously freeze for five minutes, all the while attracting the attention and support of Somerset shoppers.
WHO: Anyone, regardless of whether they are current Friendship Circle supporters or volunteers, is welcome to participate.
WHEN: Wednesday, August 18, 2010. Participants should arrive by 5 p.m., and meet on the rooftop of the north parking structure. The freeze will start at 6 p.m.
