B Wyne

Assistant Account Executive

As an Assistant Account Executive at Identity, B Wyne (they/them/theirs) works on a diverse array of client initiatives; gaining experience in all areas of Identity’s media relations and social media practices such as research, copywriting, content creation, reporting and more.

B is a new alum of Michigan State University where they majored in public relations with a double minor in sociology and women & gender studies. Their studies in sociology and women & gender studies enhance their public relations proficiencies like communicating with diverse audiences.

B previously interned as a student practitioner for Martin Waymire, a Lansing-based public relations agency. It is here they discovered their passion for media relations to amplify the coverage of a story through tactics like media monitoring and pitching. B was the first student to join the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee and researched extensively to create a DEI marketing strategy for the agency. They won the 2023 Student Practitioner of the Year award from the Central Michigan Public Relations Society Association for their contributions to the agency.

In the summer of 2022, B interned as a digital learning and engagement intern for the Smithsonian Institution and Emerson Collective Youth Collaborative. They worked in the education and communications department at the Hirshhorn Art Museum & Sculpture Garden in Washington, D.C. to develop content for youth under 12. Because of this experience, B developed a strong interest in museums as they are a place of ever-growing knowledge and innovation.

B is either listening to their record player, exploring a museum or creating mixed media art in their free time. They have an extensive vinyl collection ranging from Queen, Marvin Gaye, Amy Winehouse, Mac Miller and more.
