Identity’s Tom Nixon To Speak At Marketing Maverick Mondays

DETROIT, Mich., April 7, 2009—Tom Nixon, a partner at Bingham Farms, Mich.-based Identity Marketing & Public Relations, will speak on the role of emerging new media marketing techniques at the Detroit Regional Chamber’s Marketing Maverick Mondays event in May. The discussion, which will be held on May 11, 2009 at 1:15 pm, will take place at the Detroit Zoo’s Ford Education Center.
The Detroit Regional Chamber’s monthly marketing seminars touch on relevant marketing topics aimed to help provide Detroit business professionals with the tools and knowledge to actualize company goals. The May panel will feature the topic “Help! The Marketing Trends Make Me Feel Old.”
Mr. Nixon, a veteran public relations and marketing specialist with over twelve years of field experience, will bring to his discussion an emphasis on supplementing traditional marketing techniques with emerging new media strategies. Attuned to the increasing impact of social media, Mr. Nixon will hone in on sculpting a new marketing approach in Web 2.0 world. He will also address increasingly popular social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, and how they can be incorporated with traditional marketing tactics to achieve overall marketing objectives.
