Video of the Week: Hockey Team Spoofs Mariah Carey

We’re definitely feeling the holiday spirit here at the Identity home front, and we wanted to pass that along with our last Video of the Week feature in 2010.

Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas” is one of the most popular Christmas tunes (and my all-time favorite!). I came across a video of the Belfast Giants hockey team performing the song, and it’s a riot (hat tip to Ragan Communications for including the video in one of its e-newsletters this week).

Some of my favorite features of this video are the choreography, attire (especially the elf costume) and the hockey players’ dramatic expressions and hand movements. I would love to see the bloopers and behind-the-scenes moments from the actual filming!

I think this was a really creative way for the hockey team to promote its Christmas games. Cheers to the team for having a sense of humor.
