explaining social media so anyone can understand it

By: Andrea Trapani

While I have previously used the innovative videos over at Common Craft to explain Wiki’s, Marc Meyer’s Emerson Direct Marketing Observations recently placed them back on my radar. Common Craft does an excellent job of explaining social media (or pretty much any Web 2.0 platform/tool) in a way that virtually ANYONE can understand. Remember the Twinkie scene in Ghostbusters?

It’s kind of like that (Thanks to Colin Mckay/Canuckflack for that one).

If you have a co-worker or client that is eager (or struggling) to grasp the concepts behind social media, send them the link above or direct them to Common Craft’s site. If you know someone who really likes Ghostbusters, or Twinkies, send them the first clip.
