Be Careful What You Brand For

Guess what?  Whether they know it or not, every company owns a brand.  According to Wikipedia, a brand is the image of a company or product in the market.  In simple terms, it’s what comes to mind when someone thinks of or hears the name of your company or your product.  So, it’s critically important that you make sure your company “owns” the right brand.  It’s even more important to make sure you manage it once you have it.  A lot of companies don’t.  And when that happens, they suffer the consequences.

The moral of the story?  Make sure you own the right brand and make it your mission to keep it from being stolen.
