a little bit can go a long way
By: Mark Winter
The past few months have been challenging times for many. Thanksgiving is the kick-off to the holiday season that reminds us all to give thanks for the good things in our lives. While some may be thankful for dogs, I give thanks most of all for health and family (and dogs, of course).
Times are hard and we all know that. It’s easy for people to get wrapped up in all of the bad news. Companies are facing obstacles they did not plan on six months ago and many are struggling to keep employee morale up in the hard times. A little bit can go a very long way in reaching this goal. You can’t underestimate how a “thank you” to employees, whether through an email or in person, can make an impact. Now is the perfect time to get into the spirit. Send an email, allow employees to leave early before holidays or even participate in charitable work for the community as a team. There are lots of ways to get into the holiday spirit. It’s great to be thankful and recognize the ways we can pay those thanks forward.
