Alex Macksoud

Alex has been writing creative, compelling content for more than a decade. As Counsel to Identity, he tells client stories through multiple mediums including SEO web copy, blog articles, brand messaging, digital ads, video scripts, social posts, press releases, media talking points, internal communications, sales collateral and executive ghostwritten bylines.

Throughout his career, Alex held various agency and corporate roles blending writing, brand strategy and executive advisory—including seven years at Identity—before starting his own freelance practice. His clients span diverse industries serving B2C, B2B and nonprofit audiences.

Alex earned his bachelor’s degree in Advertising from Central Michigan University, where he got his start as a living, breathing writing machine.

Born and based in Metro Detroit, Alex balances his work with parenting two boys, taking months to finish a single book and an ongoing effort to sing away the songs stuck in his head.
