Powerlink Hires New Director of Staffing: Brenda Pettway

DETROIT, May 22, 2013 – Powerlink, a New Center-based staffing, facilities management and maintenance company, has created a new director of staffing position, hiring Brenda Pettway to oversee growth and execution of the company’s staffing business. Powerlink President and CEO Link Howard III made the announcement.

“We’re seeing an increased demand for our services by major local organizations, which is positive news for the city of Detroit,” says Howard. “As part of that expansion, we’re thrilled to have Brenda join our growing team. Her expertise in health care and automotive fits perfectly with Powerlink’s strengths—these are areas where we see significant potential.”

The company has seen growth so far this year with its health care, education and manufacturing clients, bringing on new team members in environmental services, maintenance, food service and as part of its leadership team.

Pettway, an Eastern Michigan University graduate, worked most recently at Vibrus Group as a sales manager, including a focus on new business development and recruiting, and brings 15 years of experience in the staffing field. While she has spent time in a broad range of industries, including IT and engineering, she has specific expertise in health care and automotive with a focus on diversity. She lives in Sterling Heights with her husband and three children.
