
Apprentice
Wyatt Heppner is an apprentice at Identity where he contributes to a variety of client initiatives through research, copywriting and additional account support. He also serves as a soldier in the Michigan National Guard where his sense of service informs and strengthens his PR skillset.
Graduating from Central Michigan University’s Integrative Public Relations program with a bachelor’s in applied arts. While at CMU, he was a member of CMU’s Public Relations Student Society of America chapter where he provided event support, provided podcast content and wrote blog posts.
Wyatt had his PR start working as a Digital Content Associate for the Michigan Democratic Party. While working for the MDP, he supported the Biden/Harris campaign and later would support the Harris/Waltz campaign through drafting copy for social media accounts, creating video content and providing support for campaign events.
In addition to his apprenticeship at Identity, Wyatt has served in the Michigan Army National as a Signal Support Specialist (MOS 25U) since August, 2017. During his time in the Michigan Army National Guard, he was activated to support Michigan’s response to COVID-19, as a part of the Jan. 6 Capitol Response operation in 2021 and a deployment to CENTCOM in the Middle East.
In his personal life, Wyatt takes care of his two cats, likes to cook, goes to the gym and plays a variety of board, video and card games.
