FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., September 15, 2014—Trott & Trott, P.C. (Trott), a Farmington Hills, Mich.-based real estate finance law firm, announced today that Partner and Executive Vice President Marcy Ford was recently selected by her peers for inclusion in the 21st edition of The Best Lawyers in America® in the area of Mortgage Banking Foreclosure Law.
Since its inception in 1993, Best Lawyers has become universally regarded as the definitive guide to legal excellence. Due to the exhaustive peer-review survey, in which more than 52,488 leading attorneys cast more than 5.5 million evaluations on the legal capabilities of other lawyers in their practice areas, and because lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be listed, inclusion in Best Lawyers is considered a singular honor.
Chair of Trott’s Executive Committee, Ford currently serves as president of USFN, a 50-state trade association serving the mortgage banking industry. Previously, she served as both vice president and secretary of USFN. Ford leads the firm’s bankruptcy practice group and works with firm partners and managers in all areas of operations.
Ford is a graduate of Western Michigan University, where she earned her master’s degree with honors. She is also a cum laude graduate of Wayne State University Law School.
