FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., October 5, 2011 – Marcy J. Ford, partner and executive vice president at Trott & Trott, P.C. (Trott), a Farmington Hills, Mich.-based law firm servicing the mortgage banking industry, was recently selected by her peers for inclusion in the 2012 edition of The Best Lawyers in America ® in the area of Mortgage Banking Foreclosure Law. Trott Chairman David A. Trott made the announcement.
Since its inception in 1983, Best Lawyers has become universally regarded as the definitive guide to legal excellence. Because Best Lawyers is based on an exhaustive peer-review survey in which more than 39,000 leading attorneys cast almost 3.1 million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in their practice areas, and because lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be listed, inclusion in Best Lawyers is considered a singular honor.
Marcy is a 1984 graduate of Western Michigan University, where she earned her Master’s degree with honors in 1986. She is a 1993 cum laude graduate of Wayne State University Law School. The Chair of Trott’s executive management team, Marcy serves as a board member of the Consumer Bankruptcy Association (Eastern District of Michigan) and is active on the loss mitigation subcommittee for the NACTT Mortgage Liaison Committee. Additionally, she serves as a board member and the current vice president of USFN—America’s Mortgage Banking Attorneys, a 50-state trade association for mortgage banking attorneys. When the Vice President term expires, she will then serve two additional years as president.
