Three Attorneys at The Health Law Partners Honored as 2013 New York Metro Super Lawyers and Rising Star

LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y., September 17, 2013 –The Greenberg, Dresevic, Hinrichsen, Iwrey, Kalmowitz, Lebow & Pendleton Law Group, a division of The Health Law Partners, P.C., announced today that three of its partners have been recognized as some of the finest attorneys in New York Metro by Super Lawyers. Carey Kalmowitz, founding shareholder of The Health Law Partners, made the announcement.
The Super Lawyers and Rising Star selection process is multi-phased, which includes peer nominations and evaluations combined with third-party research. Partners Joel Greenberg and Claudia Hinrichsen have each received Super Lawyer recognitions, while Partner Ron Lebow has been recognized as a Rising Star.
This is the third consecutive year that Greenberg has been honored with this award. Focusing his practice on all corporate and transactional aspects of health care law, Greenberg represents clients in areas of entity establishment, partnership and shareholder agreements, federal and state compliance and mergers and acquisitions of professional practices. Greenberg currently serves as an adjunct professor of health law at the State University of New York’s College at Old Westbury. He earned his master’s degree in public administration before earning his juris doctorate at The American University.
Hinrichsen has also received this prestigious honor for a third consecutive year. She practices in all areas of health care law and has more than two decades of experience in representing physicians and hospitals. Hinrichsen has extensive experience in all aspects of transactional and regulatory health law work. Hinrichsen devotes a significant portion of her practice to the area of managed care, including the formation and representation of independent practice associations, accountable care organizations and physician-hospital organizations. She also has significant experience in IPA corporate governance, negotiation of managed care contracts and payor audits and recovery of payor underpayments. Hinrichsen receiverd her juris doctorate from Hofstra Law School, and she currently serves as an adjunct professor at Hofstra University’s Zarb School of Business.
Lebow has extensive experience in negotiating and drafting business agreements and structuring corporate arrangements for all types of health care facilities and practitioners, including physicians, dentists and hospitals. He also represents venture capitalists to structure national healthcare business rollouts. In addition to a prominent health care law practice, Lebow currently serves as Chair of the New York City Bar Association’s Health Law Committee and co-authored the third edition of The Legal Manual for Physicians published by the New York State Bar Association. Lebow is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School.
