PONTIAC, Mich., December 1, 2009 — The RESTORE Foundation (RESTORE), an Oakland County, Mich.-based non-profit organization dedicated to privately funding the Oakland County Drug Treatment Courts, has launched a new website. Judge Wendy Potts, president of RESTORE, made the announcement.
The new site, www.therestorefoundation.org, provides information about RESTORE, community members involved with the organization and the Oakland County Drug Courts, as well as news about upcoming events and ways to get involved. There is also a portal for online donation available.
The RESTORE Foundation’s goal is to reduce or eliminate the need for the County’s Drug Court Programs to depend on state and federal grants for their operational budgets. Oakland County’s Juvenile Drug Court and Adult Treatment Court have provided eight years of unique service to the county by helping program participants overcome their substance abuse problems and restore their lives through a coordinated holistic program that has proven an effective and cost-efficient way to rehabilitate residents with drug and alcohol dependencies and help keep the community safe by reducing recidivism rates.
