Stephen McKenney Recognized as a Michigan Rising Star

BIRMINGHAM, Mich., December 3, 2013 — Neuman Anderson, P.C., a Birmingham, Mich.-based business law firm specializing in complex commercial litigation, announced that Stephen McKenney has been recognized as a Michigan Rising Star.
The Michigan Rising Star recognition is given to attorneys who have been practicing for less than 10 years, or are 40 years old or younger. After a multi-phased selection process, less than 2.5 percent of attorneys are selected for this achievement, which includes peer nominations and an attorney-led research and credential review team.
With a thriving practice, Mr. McKenney focuses on complex commercial litigation and represents his clients in variety of legal matters, including, breach of contract cases, partnership and shareholder disputes, interference with contract cases creditors’ rights litigation, banking litigation, legal malpractice, real estate litigation, including title disputes, and probate litigation. Mr. McKenney has obtained multiple verdicts and arbitration awards, including a 4.9 million judgment in a breach of contract dispute.
An active member in the legal community, Mr. McKenney is a member of the State Bar of Michigan Litigation and Business Law Sections, the Oakland County Bar Association, and is licensed to practice in the state courts in Michigan, the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, the United States Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the United States Tax Court.
Mr. McKenney is a summa cum laude graduate of John Carroll University and a magna cumma laude graduate of Michigan State University College of Law.
