Starfish Family Services to Host Sixth Annual Family Fun Fair

Complimentary Family Event is Open to the Public
INKSTER, Mich., July 14, 2010 – Starfish Family Services (Starfish), an Inkster, Mich.-based nonprofit organization dedicated to creating brighter futures for the children of at-risk families in metropolitan Detroit, is hosting the “Sixth Annual Family Fun Fair” on Friday, July 23, 2010. Starfish CEO Ann Kalass made the announcement.
The fair begins at 3:00 p.m. and continues until 6:30 p.m. at the Starfish headquarters, located at 30000 Hiveley Road in Inkster. Admission is free for all patrons and includes food and beverages, games, prizes, face painting and other exciting activities for children and families of all ages.
“At Starfish, we believe in bringing families together by creating nurturing, encouraging environments in which children and parents can bond,” said Kalass. “The Annual Fun Fair enables us to involve the local community and show these families what Starfish has to offer.”
Additionally, this fair will offer families the opportunity to learn more about the various services that Starfish provides, including early head start, head start, counseling and support services, parenting and teen programs, after-school programs and teen crisis centers.
