Rodger D. Young recognized as one of the 2013 Best Lawyers in America and a Michigan Super Lawyer

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., January 9, 2014 – Rodger D. Young, founder of Young & Associates, a Farmington Hills, Mich.-based law firm specializing in complex business litigation, has been named a 2013 Best Lawyer in America and a Michigan Super Lawyer for the seventh consecutive year.
Published annually since 1983, the Best Lawyers in America list is regarded as the preeminent referral guide to the legal profession in the country, and represents 80 specialties in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The annual Super Lawyers list is rated based on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement, and includes only five percent of attorneys in each state.
An experienced trial attorney, Young has won 47 of 52 jury trials in federal and state courts. He specializes in complex commercial litigation including antitrust, patent, high technology, telecommunications, trade secret, automotive, shareholder/partner disputes and construction matters.
Young has garnered numerous state and national distinctions including appointments by the Governor of the State of Michigan to the Michigan Environmental Review Board and to the Michigan Transportation Commission. In 2001, he was named chairman of the Bush administration’s Federal Judge and U.S. Attorney Qualification Committee by Governor John Engler and Michigan’s Republican Congressional Delegation.
An active participant in the legal community, Young is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the Oakland County Bar Association, the Michigan State Bar Foundation, the State Bar Board of Commissioners, and the American College of Trial Lawyers. He is the author of several articles published by the Michigan Bar Journal and has written numerous ALI-ABA course materials.
A graduate of the University of Montana, Young continued his education at the University of Minnesota, where he earned his Juris Doctorate.
Young resides in Bloomfield Hills, Mich. and New York City.
