DETROIT, September 17, 2013 – Powerlink, a New Center-based staffing, facilities management and maintenance services company, was named to Inc. Magazine’s list of the 5,000 fastest growing companies in the U.S. Powerlink President and CEO Link Howard III made the announcement.
The Inc. 500|5000 list ranks the nation’s fastest growing privately held companies by percentage growth of their annual revenue over a three-year period from 2009-2012. Powerlink ranked 2445th overall with 147th percent growth over that time span, adding 194 employees during those three years. The organization ranked 54th out of 126 Michigan companies on the list, and 36th in the Detroit Metro area. It also ranked 23rd in the nation in the Environmental Services industry.
“Our inclusion on the Inc. 5000 list is an incredible honor and a testament to our growth efforts and strategic development over the past several years,” said Howard. “Our continued success is due to the commitment to enhanced personal and professional growth and learning by our employees, which allows us to provide the highest level of customer service to our clients, and we feel confident that this is a strong foundation for sustained success.”
Started in 1982, the list originally highlighted the top 500 fastest growing privately held companies in the nation. The list expanded to 5,000 companies in 2007 and now serves as a prestigious recognition and a hallmark of entrepreneurial success.
Powerlink was established in 2002 and now has more than 500 employees with 2012 revenues of $23.6 million. This is their first year of inclusion on the Inc. 5000 list.
