New ArenaDistrict.com Site Enhances Visitor Experience

COLUMBUS, Ohio, April 11, 2012 — Cement Marketing announced today that it has launched one of Central Ohio’s first “responsive design” websites with the reinvention of ArenaDistrict.com. Cement Marketing chief digital strategist and principal, Alaina Shearer made the announcement. The new ArenaDistrict.com uses mobile responsive web design to tailor each user’s experience to the device in their hands or on their desks.
With mobile responsive development and design, the website automatically re-sizes for display on a mobile smart phone, an iPad or tablet, or a desktop or laptop computer. The responsive design achieves this experience by using fluid, proportion-based grids to adapt the website’s layout to each viewing environment. As a result, users across a broad range of mobile and desktop devices and browsers can access a single source of content without the need to resize or pan. In addition to the consistency and convenience afforded to the viewer, the developer no longer has to build multiple sites to accommodate the vast number of varied devices and browsers.
On average, the ArenaDistrict.com receives 16,000 unique visitors per month. Of those visitors, 25% are using mobile devices while viewing the site. The new design looks to improve that mobile experience. “We were excited to create an interactive web presence for the Arena District and its visitors,” says Shearer. “As one of the first responsive websites launched in central Ohio, the Arena District is clearly leading the way by utilizing customer-centric technology.”
One exciting new resource launching with the website is the “Be My Guide” planning tool. This interactive program allows the user to select their agenda, chart their movement through the Arena District including where to eat, where to stay and what to do, but to also print an agenda with directions to ensure they are prepared for their visit.
The site will also feature content from local bloggers sharing tips, suggestions, and their personal experiences at Arena District venues including concert reviews, foodie tours, staycation weekend adventures, and other first-hand accounts.
